HARTRON offers its expertise both in Infrastructural Development as well as in Project Promotion. The Electronic City in Gurgaon is one such example wherein the corporation has build independent sheds, flatted factory modules, etc. Further, in order to boost the promotion of IT industry in State, the corporation has a plan to build a State of the Art complex in the Electronic City.

INDEPENDENT SHEDS: The Corporation has constructed Independent sheds in Electronics City, Gurgaon comprising of 30 nos. of 'A' type and 34 nos. of 'B' type sheds. All these Sheds have been allotted to the entrepreneurs as per the prevailing Industrial Policy of the State and many renowned companies are operating from these sheds.

FLATTED FACTORY COMPLEX/MODULES: A complex consisting of Flatted Factory Modules was constructed in an area of about 1.2 acres to further boost the IT Industry in Gurgaon region. Also a STP setup has been established for providing High Speed Communication facility to the industry in the vicinity using Earth Station at Noida. The corporation has been leasing out available built-up space to the interested entrepreneurs for setting up their software units in the said complex. The said complex houses many big names in the IT industry.

As a result of this, Haryana has the best IT industry in Gurgaon, which has emerged as the favourite destination, for IT / ITES companies. Some of the leading companies which have already made their base in and around Gurgaon include Microsoft, Alcatel, Wipro, TCS, Aricent, IBM, Genpact, American Express, GE-Capital, Convergys, Motorola, Nokia, Erricsson.HCL, Sapient, Polaris, Hero Minds, etc. It is expected that by 2010 Gurgaon will have potential to employ around 4 lac people in ITES and other sectors and the State will attract about Rs 2 lac crores investment.

ITT COMPLEXES AT GURGAON: With Haryana having emerged as the most preferred IT and global source destination, and Gurgaon being ranked among the foremost software export locations in the country, HARTRON has embarked on an ambitious plan to set up three Information Technology and Telecommunication (ITT) complexes.

These complexes, with state-of-the-art facilities, intelligence and external outlooks, will come up on design, finance, build, operate and transfer (DFBOT) model in Gurgaon on three plots spread over nine acres with a covered area of about 7 lakh square feet and approximate cost of Rs 300 crores. These will be among the best in the country.

The three complexes have been planned to be built at Electronics City, Sector 18 (Part), Gurgaon and Udyog Vihar (Phase 1), Gurgaon. Close proximity to IG International Airport and giants in the field of IT and related industry already being entrenched in the area are strong plus points of these complexes.

Among the facilities, these complexes will have dedicated infrastructure with redundancy in bandwidth and power supply to ensure maximum uptime. These integrated complexes will boast of state-of-the-art services, business centres, conference halls, and video and teleconferencing facilities.

E-READINESS: As a result of various new initiatives taken by HARTRON, Haryana has improved its national ranking in e-readiness by six positions - from 15th to 9th - in the last two years as per the e-readiness assessment report. The state finds a place in Level-1 states in the implementation of core infrastructure projects such as the SWAN network.

STATE WIDE AREA NETWORK (ADHAAR): Govt. of Haryana in line with National e-Governance Programme (NeGP) of Govt. of India and its vision to transform Haryana into an IT driven economy has already become a leader by being among the first few States to have established a fully operational State Wide Area Network. Under this network, State headquarter has been connected with all 21 district headquarters and 126 Block/Sub Division/Tehsils/Sub-Tehsils for providing facilities such as inter and Intra data transfer/sharing, voice over IP, video etc. Various offices of departments such as Finance, Revenue, Transport, Excise & Taxation, Panchayat, Urban Development, Women & Child Development, Agriculture, Education, Social Justice & Empowerment, Food & supply and Industry have been connected on this network in its phase I and Phase II. Further, the courts and jails of Haryana have also been connected on this network and online trials of accused are now being conducted through video conferencing. Also, more than 200 offices of Haryana police including Police Stations which were earlier connected on Haryana wide Area Network have been connected on this network. As such 679 offices till date have been connected on this network. In addition to these another 400 offices of various departments such as Transport, Health, Food & Supply, Director Public Relation, Head offices of Departments /Boards/Corporations etc/located at Panchkula, Haryana Police are being further connected on this network in its third phase.

STATE DATA CENTRE (SDC): A State Data Centre (SDC) is being set up under the National e-Governance Plan of Government of India. The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 50.68 crores with a contribution of Rs 13.50 crore from the Union department and the balance Rs 37.18 crores being met through Additional Central Assistance (ACA) for National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) provisions of the Planning Commission.

This State Data Centre has been envisioned as the `shared, reliable and secure infrastructure service centre for hosting and managing the e-Governance applications of the State and its constituent departments.' The State Data Centre shall establish a robust infrastructure to enable the Government to deliver the services quickly and effectively to its stakeholders.

Co-located with the Haryana State Wide Area Network in the New Secretariat, Haryana Sector 17, Chandigarh, the Centre shall provide access to e-Governance applications and services to Government employees through Intranet and citizens through public Internet/CSCs, etc.

Through such a shared service centre, the individual departments can focus more on the service delivery rather than on issues pertaining to infrastructure. The SDC will be equipped to host/co-locate systems (e.g. web servers, application servers, database servers, SAN, etc.) in a heterogeneous IT environment.

STATE PORTAL AND STATE SERVICE DELIVERY GATEWAY (SSDG): HARTRON has been designated as the nodal agency for this project. State Service Delivery Gateways (SSDGs) are proposed to be an integral part of the G2C service delivery architecture at the State level. The aim is to utilize the NeGP Core Infrastructure (CSCs, SWAN, SDC). Thus, SSDG and the State Portal will help use the SDC-SWAN-CSC infrastructure.
